Otintaai Tours is operated by Otintaai Hotel, a government owned company. It is designed for those who have not seen the undisturbed, beauty and the green scenery of Tarawa and other Outer Islands. Our mission is to entertain you with as many activities while staying with us and to provide a unique Kiribati experience. Discover the fun on your holiday and day visit by making a choice on activities that best fits your satisfaction. It involves sightseeing, trekking & cycling, swimming, canoe sailing and tour to Biketawa Islet. Other Outer Island Tours e.g. Abemama Island can also be arranged upon request.

Sightseeing of South Tarawa:

An island sightseeing and tour in which we take you around South Tarawa to the following places

Museum
Eita Village Maneaba
Parliament House
Government Buildings
Shopping Centre
Handicrafts Centre
World War II Relics
Post Office & Tourism Office
Taiwan Technical Mission

If there are more than 10 persons in the tour group, the group will be entertained by a local dancing group after the sightseeing.

Trekking & Cycling:

Since the public road is quite crowded, this form of activity would take place at the Eastern part of the island around Temaiku and Buota area where you would discover the unusual lifestyle of an I-Kiribati and sight the green scenery of Tarawa.

Swimming & Canoe Sailing:

This takes place at Buota and Abatao, which situated at the east of Bonriki International Airport. To get into the two places you will see and experience canoe sailing on a peaceful lagoon. It takes only about five minutes from one side to another. Swimming would be arranged at the same place.

Tour to Biketawa Islet:

The islet of Biketawa which situates at North Tarawa is available for relaxation, picnic, honey moon, weddings and other functions upon request. When you get there you will enjoy its white sandy beaches, crystal clear waters – perfect for snorkeling and swimming. The islet is where the Biketawa Declaration was signed by Pacific Forum Leaders in the year 2000.

Relaxation & Picnic at Biketawa:


Transport to the island will be provided by the Hotel. It will take about 20 - 30 minutes to the Islet.
Front beach bungalows provide perfect shelter throughout the day and also for overnight stay. Toilet and Shower facilities are also available. Charges will depend on your request.
Honeymoon, weddings and other functions can be also offered on Biketawa.

Tour Package:

All activities costs $30.00 per person and lunch is inclusive with the exception of a Tour to Biketawa and other Outer Islands as charges depend on the type of tour you requested.
